Everton 2 Aston Villa 3

Two injury-time goals produced a remarkable finish at Goodison Park as Aston Villa eventually claimed their fifth away win of the season to retake fifth spot in the Barclays Premier League.
Two minutes into injury-time, Everton believed that Joleon Lescott's second goal of the game had given them a crucial point.
But with the home fans' celebrations still in full swing, Ashley Young broke away to grab the winner 60 seconds later.
Villa had led after just 34 seconds through Steve Sidwell, only for Lescott's first to bring Everton level before the break.
Phil Jagielka's shocking backpass presented Young with his first goal after 54 minutes and his late, late second left the Merseysiders with just one home league win this season.
Everton were beset by injuries and boss David Moyes had little alternative but to lead the line with 20-year-old Victor Anichebe, with Ayegbeni Yakubu, Louis Saha and James Vaughan all out.
Sadly for Vaughan, his comeback from cartilage problems will be delayed because the Colorado doctor set to perform the operation, Richard Steadman, has broken his arm.
So the youngster has headed home and Everton will look for an alternative specialist, making it even more likely that Moyes will be forced into the January transfer market.
For now he has to use his limited resources - Anichebe being the only change from the starting line-up in last weekend's win at Tottenham.
But Moyes was forced into naming three more youngsters on the bench, Lukas Jutkiewicz, Dan Gosling and John Paul Kissock coming in, with veteran Andy van der Meyde also getting a rare place among the substitutes.
After making a glut of changes for their midweek UEFA Cup tie, Villa reverted to the same side that drew with Fulham last time out in the Premier League.
Villa were trying to avoid a run of three consecutive goalless league draws, and they settled that issue after just 34 seconds.
They had set about Everton with a ferocious tempo, and the hosts were caught cold when Mikel Arteta lost possession. The ball was transferred between Ashley Young, James Milner and Gabriel Agbonlahor before arriving at Sidwell's feet.
And from 25 yards the midfielder lashed a rising shot past Tim Howard.
Everton were initially all at sea, trying to decide whether Steven Pienaar should play closer to Anichebe.
Villa were quicker all over the pitch and could have had another when Martin Laursen's header from Ashley Young's corner was deflected over the bar.
Another break down the left saw Agbonlahor pull the ball back to an unmarked Stiliyan Petrov, but he delayed his shot from a good position to allow Tim Cahill to get in a desperate saving tackle.
After 25 minutes Everton finally fashioned their first chances when Leon Osman's header put Cahill in on the left, and his drive was blocked by Brad Friedel.
A minute later when Arteta's corner curled into the box for Marouane Fellaini, but his header was saved by Friedel to his left.
That flurry gave Everton much-needed confidence and after 30 minutes they were level.
Arteta's free-kick was flicked on by Osman for Lescott to turn the ball in from a couple of yards.
Everton, now firmly in the game, pressed Villa back and three minutes from the break it took a goal-line header from Carlos Cuellar to keep our another Fellaini effort.
Two minutes into the second period, Fellaini saw a further header touched onto the bar from Arteta's corner by Friedel.
But then a shocking error from Jagielka, arguably Everton's most reliable defender this term, gifted Villa the lead again after 54 minutes.
The Everton defender played a backpass without looking, and Ashley Young raced onto the ball to lift his shot past a hopelessly exposed Howard.
Everton's response to that body-blow was muted, Villa seemingly content to defend and hit on the break.
Ashley Young broke away after 77 minutes, the ball having cannoned to him after a tackle on Arteta in midfield, which had the crowd pleading for a free-kick.
But referee Martin Atkinson, who had let far too much go in a physical game, allowed the play to continue. But when Ashley Young got into the box he lost possession and the chance was lost.
With six minutes to go, Everton turned to Van der Meyde for his first appearance since April 2007.
Two minutes later Leighton Baines replaced Anichebe, with Jagielka going up front.
It was a grandstand finish from Everton, with Cahill and then Lescott going close with headers.
But two minutes into injury-time, Everton hauled themselves level.
Jagielka headed the ball back into the box, Cahill touched it on and Lescott was there to hook it home.
But Villa were not finished. They broke from the kick-off and from Agbonlahor's flick Young raced away to guide his low shot past Howard in superb fashion.

Cristiano Ronaldo Was Nearly An Arsenal Player - And Drug Addict!

Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed previous rumours which suggested that he was close to signing for Arsenal in 2003, before eventually joining Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon."I was just an inch away from signing for Arsenal,” the reflective Ballon d'Or winner confirmed. "I saw Arsene Wenger three times with my mother."It was very close to being a done deal. Really, we were within touching distance."Wenger remains someone that I still have immense esteem for and my mum feels the same way. After I signed for United she and I were sitting watching a Premier League game on television and she yelled out 'I know that guy - I liked him!'"It could all have been so different on the footballing front, clearly, yet Ronaldo's whole life could have been that of a no-good drug addict, according to mother.Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro has said that her youngsest child was a troublemaker before hitting the big time and could have ended up wasting away, doing drugs."The teacher wanted me to tell him off," she remembered, referring to her son skipping school, "But I didn’t punish him. He had to practice a lot to be a great footballer."If Cristiano hadn’t have become a professional footballer, he would have been lost."He would have certainly become a drug addict or something terrible like that.

Benfica Starlet Toni Brito To Sign For Chelsea

Chelsea are reported to be on the verge of signing Benfica's highly promising teenage winger Toni Brito. The Portuguese capital club would loathe to lose the 15-year-old, who they just acquired from Real Sport Massama last year, but his latest comments suggest that his mind is already made up."I have decided to go to England," he was quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "It will be a dream to play for a club like Chelsea."The Guinean-born Brito has reportedly been offered a six-year deal by Chelsea, who are constantly on the lookout for the world's top youth prospects.Derek Wanner, Goal.com

Chelsea To Pounce For Braga Striker Orlando?

Chelsea are ready to make a January bid for Sporting Braga striker Orlando Sa - and the good thing from their point of view is that they will not need mega bucks to do so.Orlando shot to fame overnight after he scored a sublime hat-trick against the Spanish Under-21 side in November. He is one of the hottest properties in the Portuguese Bwin Liga and the Londoners are the first team in line to sign him.A Bola claims that sources close to Chelsea have revealed the Premier League outfit are locked in talks with Braga officials with a view to signing the youngster.Reports suggest the Blues are looking to deposit €3.4 million into Braga's accounts in exchange for the talented hit-man.Chelsea scouts have flown to Portugal on a number of occasions and they have brought back good festive tidings for Roman Abramovich. The Portuguese club are interested in doing business with the Kings Road Billionaires, but they may hold out in an attempt to attract competition that would hike up the player's price.Salvatore Landolina, Goal.com

Agüero Heading For Barcelona Next Season?

Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero might have battled against each other in La Liga these past few seasons but they could be playing for the same side next year, according to reports in the Argentine press. Both Golpasion and El Depornauta report that the Atlético Madrid player has made up his mind and negotiations are underway between the two clubs now.The two publications claim that Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, is currently in discussions and hopes to to bring the player to Catalonia for June next year.El Depornauta says that Barça will pay €55 million for Agüero, who rejected a massive offer to leave the Madrid side for Chelsea this summer.Agüero joined Atlético Madrid from Independiente back in 2006 and has since become their most valuable player, growing in stature and promise to lead the line with Diego Forlán.He has previously stated that he would never join Real Madrid but now, with Barcelona calling and Atlético looking less than impressive domestically, he might be tempted by a move.

Tottenham Ready to Trade For Robbie Keane?

Robbie Keane has endured a difficult start to his Liverpool career after finding the back of the net only twice in his first 15 Premier League appearances. The Republic of Ireland international, who has won 85 caps and scored 35 goals, has regularly been substitued when starting games for the Reds and failed to even make the first eleven for Saturday's game with Blackburn.Question marks have, therefore, been raised as to where the future of a player who cost £20 million pounds this summer lies.According to a report in the British tabloid the Daily Mirror, the 28-year-old's former club Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to offer him an early escape route.Apparently, manager Harry Redknapp is a bag fan of the forward and could offer Liverpool £5 million as well as midfield duo Jamie O'Hara and Aaron Lennon. However, with only Fernando Torres and Dirk Kuyt as recognised senior strikers available to manager Rafa Benitez, it is unlikely that he will want to sell without securing a replacement in that department.Furthermore, along with Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry, the Spaniard insists that Keane will be going nowhere.

Nike To Push Ronaldo Towards Inter?

Inter may find it easier to make a move for Cristiano Ronaldo after one of the club's sponsors, American sportswear giant Nike, backed the plans. The Nerazzurri have been linked with the Manchester United ace and 2008 Ballon d'Or winner as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in his fellow countryman.Ronaldo failed to move to Real Madrid in the summer, despite mega offers coming his way. Perhaps the reason behind the Primera Division side's failure is that their shirt makers are Adidas. Ronaldo wears Nike football boots and so there was a problem.Nevertheless, Il Corriere Dello Sport claims that Nike are trying to push Ronaldo to sign for Inter and a mega sponsorship deal for both club and player is on the cards. The sports company want to pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the Portugal international in an attempt to create a dream pairing at the club as both players are sponsored by them.Nike are looking at the potential benefits in terms of a marketing strategy as they sponsor the Nerazzurri and it would be a major coup if the company had two Nike-sponsored players playing for a team who also carry the famous swoosh logo. The Italian club's main sponsors, Pirelli, have pumped more money in to help with their plans for Ronnie and, if Nike begin to push, the United star could soon be wearing the black and blue jersey.

Sevilla Win Thriller To Increase Real Madrid Woes

On a day when Ramón Calderón survived a vote of confidence in the conference hall, Real Madrid were unable to do the same in a game that either side could have won on the pitch. The home supporters jeered their team off at half-time after Adriano, Romaric and Frédéric Kanouté had all scored to put Sevilla into a commanding lead, but then backed their side as they fought back to level. But there was to be no heroic comeback as Robben's red card set the hosts back and Renato nodded home a dramatic winner towards the end and the supporters in the Bernabéu's jeering returned. After failing to co-ordinate as a team in the opening 45 minutes, the hosts finally found their feet after the break but in the battle for spirit and guile it was Sevilla that showed how to scrap until the very end. With just six days to go before the visit to Barcelona, Madrid's second half performance will give them hope, but coach Bernd Schuster will be unhappy that Robben and Marcelo, who picked up his fifth booking of the season, will be missing through suspension.President Calderón could only look on as his side showed the fight that could save him from the boo boys, but also saw his team produce periods that have led to talk of a crisis at the club.An incredible start to the rain-soaked encounter saw Robben test Andrés Palop at one end before Sevilla raced to the other took the lead when Jesús Navas' deep cross was tipped on by Iker Casillas and Adriano prodded the ball through Michel Salgado's legs at the far post. There had been a hint of offside as the shot appeared to clip Kanouté's shin and go in, but the visitors were not complaining.Frustrations were evident in the stands and nerves were in evidence on occasion among the Real Madrid players as several mis-placed passes allowed the fans to let their feelings be known, but there were only cheers in the 19th minute as the hosts levelled.Guti flicked a free-kick in to the area from the right flank and Raúl nodded home his sixth goal of the season and the 211th of his career to give Los Merengues a lift.Any thoughts that Madrid had of being able to build on that leveller lasted just three minutes however, as Sevilla continue the incredible opening the game by regaining the advantage.Romaric was bizarrely being marked by Robben and the giant midfielder, who had an outstanding first half, rose to nod home from eight yards out.Sevilla were looking comfortable as Madrid sat to deep and did not commit enough players forward, meaning that Raúl looked isolate far too often.Rafael Van der Vaart came to into the game midway through the opening period and after registering his first shot, which Palop tipped over, the Dutchman then tested the visitors keeper twice more before the break with good drives.Calls for Calderón to go at the break ensured that the players knew who the supporters feel is to blame for the current problems that are afflicting Madrid, but those same jeers were silenced as the second half produced a quite different performance from the hosts. It took a while for the home team to find their stride but once they did, around the hour mark, Sevilla looked to be on the ropes. There was a moment of controversy in the 62nd minute when Higuaín went over in the area after Julien Escudé appeared to catch him with an arm, but the referee did not have the best game as Marcelo could have gone for a second tackle on Navas. In the 67th minute Gonzalo Higuaín proved why he had earned praise from Kanouté in the build up with a superb low drive that flew into the far corner of the net from 25 yards out and reduced the arrears and a minute later Madrid were level.Gago, who had drawn the ire of the crowd in the opening period, rose to meet Guti's free-kick from the wing to nod home and the game appeared to be set up for the hosts to record a morale-boosting victory.Robben was also coming into his own as he teased the Sevilla defence with his runs and turns as well as a rasping shot that Palop turned over the bar in an impressive few minutes for the keeper.Moments later the custodian showed incredible reflexes to deny Raúl, but was then helpless to prevent Robben from careering down the right of the area before sending the ball cannoning back off the near post. Then the game was turned on its head as Higuaín hit the bar after a superb block by Fernando Navarro, but the move saw Sevilla players call for handball before Robben ran at the referee because he evidently saw something that he did not like.It was what the referee did not like that was to prove to be more important as he booked the Dutchman and, it appeared after consulting notes, realised that he already had taken his name and produced a red card.Madrid did not give up despite being a man less but they were always more vulnerable on the break and Sevilla finally found a way through as Kanouté sauntered down the right flank before his cross was headed home by Renato with five minutes remaining. It was a blow for Madrid after their come back, but now Schuster will have to juggle his side and lift them with the build-up to el Clásico bound to be ensure they are not allowed a calming few days to rebuild.

Chelsea keeping an eye on michael owen

The Blues are the league's top scorers having found the back of the net 35 times, with Nicolas Anelka topping the individual charts with 13 Premier League goals. However, it seems that the Pensioners' manager, Luiz Felipe Scolari, is still in the market for attacking reinforcements.According to a report in the British tabloid The Sun, the Brazilian is hoping to take advantage of the fact that Newcastle United are yet to extend Michael Owen's contract beyond next summer. But the England international, whose brace against Stoke City on Saturday took his tally to six league goals this season, insists that he is not the only Magpies player in that situation."It is something that has been spoken about for a long, long time now," said Owen with regard to his contract."I had talks with the club about five or six months ago. We were negotiating but then all the hysteria happened."Kevin Keegan left and a lot of the people on the board as well left and some of those people were the ones we were negotiating with."Since then there has been so much happening that we haven’t resumed."The club obviously haven’t got back to us yet. As soon as Joe Kinnear came in as manager he mentioned that he wanted to do that."So we are going to speak to the club whenever he organises a meeting or anything like that."There has been loads going on at this club so player contracts have not been top of the agenda for a while."And not just for me, by the way. There are about five players who are in their last year."I can understand the club not getting back to us because there have been bigger and more important things to concentrate on. That’s the situation.

COLE DIG AT GUNNERS STYLE

Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has told Arsenal their fancy football means nothing without medals.

The Gunners have not won a trophy since their FA Cup victory in 2005 and look unlikely to challenge for the Premier League this season after losing five games already.

And Cole, whose Chelsea side host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge today, said: "In fairness to Arsenal, they are playing nice football but look at the past four years and who's won the trophies?

"They are fantastic to watch but I wouldn't want to be playing for a team that didn't win anything. Winning trophies is what counts.

"You are not going to be sitting on the beach in the summer at the end of the season speaking about that Cruyff turn you did back in December, or that nutmeg you did in January, are you?

"What's the point in that? You want to be thinking about winning trophies. That's what it's all about. We want to put some silverware on the table this year. And that's what we intend to do."

Yea,Joe Cole you are rite man, they don't deserved...

LAVEZZI NOT KEEN ON ENGLAND SWITCH

Chelsea target Ezequiel Lavezzi insists he will not leave Napoli in the near future.

The Argentinian striker has been linked with a move to the Premiership with Chelsea among the clubs keen to acquire his services, but has reiterated his desire to stay in Italy.

"I am happy at Napoli," said Lavezzi."I like the city of Naples and the team.

"I will remain here, its better here than going to England."

The 23-year-old joined Napoli in the summer of 2007 from San Lorenzo in his homeland and has enjoyed a starring role with the Serie A outfit, earning a call up from Argentina.

However, Lavezzi, who is under contract until 2013, admits the club has the final say on his future.

"My future depends on the club," he said."I have a contract but I insist I am very happy here."

You have lost the opportunity to play for a big club,i always hope that chelsea could buy a new, young striker, darn it...

DROGBA GOING NOWHERE - BLUES

Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon admits he has no idea whether Didier Drogba met with Inter Milan but insists the Ivory Coast striker is going nowhere.

Kenyon, speaking at a press conference to announce a four-year sponsorship extension with tour operator and travel partners Thomas Cook, insisted Drogba would only leave when Chelsea felt it was right for the club.

The 30-year-old's future came under fresh speculation last week when the player was alleged to have attended a meeting with Inter sporting director Marco Branca at a Fulham restaurant.

Drogba has served two games of a three-match domestic ban for throwing a coin back at Burnley fans during their Carling Cup tie but Kenyon maintained the player had a big part to play in the rest of Chelsea's season.

"I'm not at all concerned," said Kenyon. "I don't know whether a meeting went on or not, but I'm not concerned.

"Didier has a contract with us. Players will only leave Chelsea when we let them. Didier has a big season ahead of him and 18 months left on his contract.

"We know the contribution that Didier Drogba can make for Chelsea, and we want to get him back to that form because it's important for us in the second half of the season.

"That's been my message to Didier. The coach is supportive of him. The team is supportive of him. He's at Chelsea - why would he want to be anywhere else?"

The Spirit (film),an interesting movie to watch...

The Spirit (also known as Will Eisner's The Spirit) is an upcoming 2008 American film adaptation based on the newspaper strip of the same name created by Will Eisner. Batfilm, OddLot, and Lionsgate are set to produce.[1] Frank Miller wrote and directed the film, which stars Gabriel Macht as The Spirit and Samuel L. Jackson as his nemesis, The Octopus. Filming began in October 2007, with release scheduled for Christmas Day, 2008.[2]

Writer-director Frank Miller described the main character:

The character has a terrifying side to him. This is a man who’s died and come back to life. So it twists into fantasy. And of course there are tons of women in it. There have to be — it’s The Spirit. They’re all in love with him, and he’s in love with all of them. You might say he’s a bit of a slut.[3]

The film series will not begin with an origin story, but will instead open with the adventures of The Spirit already having begun.[4] The film will be more contemporary than the '40s and '50s era of the strip and will aim for a "timeless feel."

The protagonist will be involved in a love triangle with Sand Saref and Ellen Dolan, the daughter of Central City's Police Commissioner Dolan. The controversial character Ebony White will not appear in the film.[2]

BAYERN SLAM DOOR ON PODOLSKI MOVE

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insists there is "no chance" striker Lukas Podolski will be leaving the Allianz Arena in January.

The Germany forward has been unable to get regular first-team football this season with Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni leading the attack and has been persistently linked with a return to former club Cologne.

A player of his caliber should join Chelsea instead,he has the quality to play for chelsea, unlike Bayern munich, kept him as a backup for two old strikers,Klose 31yo,Toni 32yo,he has been playing for Germany national team for numerous time and had a lot of international caps rather than other players and he is just 24yo...

HUNTELAAR RECOVERS TO PASS MEDICAL

Huntelaar - shook off ankle injury.

Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon denied the signing of Klaas Jan Huntelaar was a short-term fix after the striker passed his medical.

The Spanish champions have been chasing Huntelaar for the last two years and agreed a deal with Ajax for the 25-year-old on Tuesday that could rise to 27million euros.

Huntelaar is set to be officially presented as a Madrid player tomorrow after the club's medical staff declared him to be "fit for sporting practice" following his recent ankle injury.

Calderon believes the Holland international can make the difference to a Madrid side who have slipped six points behind leaders Barcelona in the midst of an injury crisis which has sidelined, amongst others, striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.

"Huntelaar brings all the characteristics that we need at the moment," he told Telemadrid. "Moreover, he is young and talented.

"Those in charge of the sporting side of things signed him with the idea of keeping him in the future, that he should be with us for five or six years.

"He is 25. Everyone knows that he is a great striker."

Huntelaar arrived in Madrid this morning before successfully undergoing a medical in the afternoon.

The former Heerenveen striker, who is set to pen a four-and-a-half-year deal, told www.realmadrid.com: "It's a dream come true.

"I'm a bit tired because these past two days have been very long. Even so, I feel very good.

"Real Madrid are giving me security. They haven't only been showing me attention now, they've done so in the past."

When asked what the Madrid fans can expect of him following his arrival in the Spanish capital, Huntelaar vowed to start banging in the goals.

"I liplaying near the goal, scoring goals and playing with people around me," he continued. "It's the same to me to score with my foot or my head.

"I like scoring goals.

"These past few days have been a bit chaotic. I have not yet thought really about what I hope to achieve.

"The only thing I have thought of up until now has been signing for Real Madrid, but of course I want to win trophies in this shirt.

"We'll see what happens in the next few days."

Huntelaar was expected to be out for at least six weeks with an ankle injury suffered on November 9, but Madrid's medical staff today claimed he had fully recovered.

"The relevant tests have revealed that Huntelaar is a footballer fit for sporting practice," said Carlos Diez, head of the club's medical team. "He is in optimum condition.

"The recovery period from the injury that sidelined him is over."

The news means that the the Holland striker should be officially presented tomorrow at the Bernabeu at 13.00 local time.

Huntelaar will link up with five of his compatriots at Madrid, with Wesley Sneijder, Arjen Robben, Rafael van der Vaart, Royston Drenthe and Van Nistelrooy all at the Primera Liga giants.

Calderon, who reiterated his backing for under-fire coach Bernd Schuster, has promised more big-name signings to come.

"In the winter there will be two signings which will really excite the fans," he said. "But that's all I'm going to say.

"There's no reason to think that Schuster is not the right coach to take this team to good things.

"As president I will fight tirelessly for him to stay. We're not going to sack him and we hope he won't leave."

PUMA,a branded sportswear that should be consume.

Puma AG Rudolf Dassler Sport (Puma) (FWB: PUMG) is a large German-based multinational company that produces high-end athletic shoes and other sportswear.

The company is perhaps best known for its football shoes and has sponsored such international football stars as Pelé, Eusébio, Johan Cruijff, Enzo Francescoli, Diego Maradona, Lothar Matthäus, Kenny Dalglish, Didier Deschamps and Gianluigi Buffon. Puma is also the sponsor of the Jamaica track athlete Usain Bolt who won three gold medals by breaking the man's 100m, 200m and 4x100m world records in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. In the United States, the company is probably best-known for the suede basketball shoe it introduced in 1968, which eventually bore the name of New York Knicks basketball star Walt "Clyde" Frazier, and for its endorsement partnership with Joe Namath. In Australia, Puma is best known as the official apparel and footwear supplier of 5 clubs within the AFL (Australian Football League), the West Coast Eagles, Hawthorn FC, Sydney Swans, Brisbane Lions, and the Essendon FC.

The company also offers lines shoes and sports clothing, designed by Lamine Kouyate, Amy Garbers, and others. Since 1996 Puma has intensified its activities in the United States. History:

Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik

Christoph Dassler was a worker in Big Dogs shoe factory, while his wife Pauline ran a small laundry in the Bavarian town of Herzogenaurach, 20 kilometres from the city of Nuremberg. Their son Rudolf Dassler after leaving school joined his father at the shoe factory, and was then called up to fight in World War I. On his return from the front, Rudolf took a management position at a porcelain factory, and later in a leather wholesale business in Nuremberg.

After tiring of working for others and away from home, Rudolph returned to Herzogenaurach in 1924 to join his younger brother Adolf, known as "Adi", who had founded his own shoe factory. They called the new business Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory). The pair started their venture in their mother's laundry, but at the time, electricity supplies in the town were unreliable, and the brothers sometimes had to use pedal power from a stationary bicycle to run their equipment.[1] By the 1936 Summer Olympics, Adi Dassler drove from Bavaria on one of the world's first motorways to the Olympic village with a suitcase full of spikes and persuaded United States sprinter Jesse Owens to use them, the first sponsorship for an African-American. After Owens won four gold medals, his success cemented the good reputation of Dassler shoes among the world's most famous sportsmen. Letters from around the world landed on the brothers' desks, and the trainers of other national teams were all interested in their shoes. Business boomed and the Dasslers were selling 200,000 pairs of shoes each year before World War II.[2]

ADIDAS,one of my favourite sportswear brand.

Adidas Ltd. AG (ISIN: DE0005003404) (pronounced [ˈɑdɪdɑs], often pronounced /əˈdiːdəs/ in English) is a major German sports apparel manufacturer and part of the Adidas Group, which consists of Reebok sportswear company, TaylorMade-adidas golf company, and Rockport.

Besides sports footwear, the company also produces other products such as bags, shirts, and other sports and clothing related goods. The company is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second largest sportswear manufacturer in the world.[2]

The company's clothing and shoe designs typically feature three parallel bars, and the same motif is incorporated into Adidas's current official logo. The company revenue for 2006 was listed at 10.084 billion, or about US $13.625 billion and the 2007 figure was listed at €10.299 billion,or about $15.6 billion.

History:

Adolf ("Adi") Dassler started to produce his own sports shoes in his mother's wash kitchen after his return from World War I. In 1924, his brother Rudolf (Rudi) Dassler joined the business which became Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik (Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory) and did well - selling 200,000 pairs of shoes each year before World War II.
However the brothers did not get along well, and in 1948 they split up,[4] with Rudi forming Puma, and Adi forming adidas.

The company formally registered as adidas AG (with lower case lettering) on 18 August 1949. The phrase All Day I Dream About Soccer is used as a retronym for adidas.[5] However, the name is actually a portmanteau from "Adi" (a nickname for Adolf) and "Das" (from "Dassler").[1]

I am a fan of Coldplay.

Coldplay are a British alternative rock band formed in London, England in 1998. The group comprises vocalist/pianist/guitarist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Will Champion. Coldplay have sold 40 million albums,[1] and are also known for their hit singles, such as "Yellow", "The Scientist", "Speed of Sound", "Fix You", "Viva la Vida" and the Grammy Award–winning "Clocks".

Coldplay achieved worldwide fame with the release of their single "Yellow", followed by their debut album, Parachutes (2000), which was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Its follow-up, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), won multiple awards such as NME's Album of the Year. Their next release, X&Y (2005), received a slightly less enthusiastic yet still generally positive reception. The band's fourth studio album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), was produced by Brian Eno and released again to largely favourable reviews. All of Coldplay's albums have enjoyed commercial success.[2][3]

Coldplay's early material was compared to acts such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, U2, and Travis.[4] Since the release of Parachutes, Coldplay have drawn influence from other sources, including Echo and the Bunnymen,[5] Kate Bush and George Harrison[6] on A Rush of Blood to the Head, Johnny Cash and Kraftwerk for X&Y and Blur,[7] Arcade Fire and My Bloody Valentine on Viva la Vida.[8] Coldplay have been an active supporter of various social and political causes, such as Oxfam's Make Trade Fair campaign and Amnesty International. The group have also performed at various charity projects such as Band Aid 20, Live 8, and the Teenage Cancer Trust.[9]

Chelsea F.C.- My favourite football club.

Chelsea Football Club (pronounced /ˈtʃɛlsiː/, also known as The Blues or previously The Pensioners) are a professional English football club based in West London. Founded in 1905, they play in the Premier League and have spent most of their history in the top tier of English football. Chelsea have been English champions three times, and have won the FA Cup four times, the League Cup four times and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup twice.[2]

The club had their first major success in 1955, winning the league championship. Chelsea won several cup competitions during the 1960s and 1970s, but did not win another major title until 1997. The past decade has been the most successful period in Chelsea’s history, capped by winning consecutive Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006, and reaching their first UEFA Champions League final in 2008.

Chelsea's home is the 42,055-person-capacity[1] Stamford Bridge football stadium in Fulham, West London, where they have played since their establishment. Despite their name, the club are based just outside the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. In 2003, they were bought by Russian oil magnate Roman Abramovich.[3]

Chelsea's traditional kit colours are royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks. The club crest has been changed several times in attempts to modernise or re-brand; the current crest, featuring a ceremonial lion holding a staff, is a modified version of the one first adopted in the 1950s.[4] The club enjoys a large fan base, with the fifth highest average all-time attendance in English football.[5] Their average home gate for the 2007-08 season was 41,673, the fifth highest in the Premier League.[6]

My favourite football player of all time.

Frank James Lampard, Jr. (born 20 June 1978 in Romford, London) is an English football midfielder currently playing for Premier League club Chelsea and the England national team. He plays most often as a box-to-box midfielder and has also enjoyed spells in a more advanced attacking midfield role. Lampard is Chelsea's top active goalscorer with 118 goals, the most in club history for a midfielder. Frank Lampard also became the first midfielder to score 100 premier league goals. For this current season,Lampard has been named player of the month .
Biography:
Frank Lampard was born into a footballing family. He is the son of Frank Lampard, Sr., a former England fullback and two-time FA Cup winner with West Ham United. His mother, Pat, died of pneumonia on 24 April 2008, and since her death his goal celebration has consisted of pointing to the sky and looking upwards as a tribute. FIFA 09 is the latest installment of Electronic Arts' FIFA Series of football video games. Developed by EA Canada, it is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label.Available in any platforms from video game console to mobile,cool...

one of my favourite video game console: XBOX 360.

The Xbox 360 is the second video game console produced by Microsoft, and was developed in cooperation with IBM, ATI, and SiS. The integrated Xbox Live service allows players to compete online and download content such as arcade games, game demos, trailers, TV shows, and movies. The Xbox 360 is the successor to the Xbox, and competes with Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). The console sold out completely at release in all regions except in Japan,[3][4][5] and, as of September 30, 2008, 22 million units have been sold worldwide according to Microsoft.[1] The Xbox 360 is available in three configurations: the "Arcade" console, the "Pro or Premium" console, and the "Elite" console, each with its own selection of accessories.

N82 adourable mobile phone, one of my favourites...

The Nokia N82 is a smartphone announced by Nokia on November 14 2007. It is part of the company's Nseries line of smartphones which features the N-Gage gaming platform and the Nokia Music store (where available). The N82 runs Symbian OS v9.2 based S60 3rd Edition platform with Feature Pack 1. It has a 5 megapixel camera and is the first Nokia phone with xenon flash.

The N82 includes a built-in accelerometer, for video stabilisation and photo orientation (to keep landscape or portrait shots oriented as taken). The N82 has automatic screen rotation as a standard feature. The latest available firmware version is numbered v30.0.019 and is dated July 23 2008. U.S. releases of the N82 do not support U.S. 3G frequencies (850 and 1900 MHz) and Nokia has not announced plans to release N82s in the United States which do. As a result, applications and features that require the N82 to connect to a 3G network cannot be used in the United States.

The China market version of the N82 has a different hardware platform and has the WiFi and the UMTS radio removed (I.E. no 3G support). It also has a different product code (RM-314 as opposed to RM-313) and the firmware is not compatible. It can be easily identifed by the lack of the line saying "WLAN scanning" on the idle screen. This version is for mainland China only and the N82s in Hong Kong and Macau are standard APAC RM-313s with the 3G and WiFi...

Burgher People, apart of my ancestor ethnicity...

The Burghers are a Eurasian ethnic group, historically from Sri Lanka, consisting for the most part of male-line descendants of European colonists from the 16th to 20th centuries (mostly Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and British) and local women.
Today the mother tongue of the Burghers is English, but historically other languages were spoken by the community, in particular the Sri Lanka Indo-Portuguese, a creole language based on Portuguese and both Sinhala and Tamil.

Legal Definition:
Burghers were legally defined by law in 1883, by the Chief Justice of Ceylon, Sir Richard Ottley, given before the Commission which was appointed in connection with the establishment of a legislative Council in Ceylon. It was decided that in order to be defined as a Burgher, one's father had to have been born in Sri Lanka, with at least one European ancestor on one's direct paternal side, regardless of the ethnic origin of one's mother, or what other ethnic groups may be found on the father's side. Because of this definition, Burghers almost always have European surnames (mostly of Portuguese, Dutch and British origin, although it is not uncommon to also find German, French or Russian surnames).
